The SVG Rugby Union is excited to confirm, the new date for the launch of women’s rugby practice on Monday 25th, September 2017. The sessions were due to begin on Monday 18th but due to the adverse weather conditions it was postponed.

President Sophie Goddard commented, “SVG used to have a very successful female rugby team, in fact, one of the best in the region! Women here are naturally strong, so that mixed with specialized training produces some great athletes. Rugby is one of the fastest growing sports, especially amongst women. Women’s rugby has seen tremendous growth and investment and is currently an opportunity we are missing out on here in St. Vincent. With the arrival of 2 news coaches, one being female, it is the perfect time to launch again.”

Training will be every Monday from 5pm at Sion Hill playing field. There will be the option of adding another day should if requested.

Any men wishing to join the Union, they can attend Tuesdays or Thursday at Sion Hill, same time.
