The teams are set for the 2017 Rugby Barbados World 7s (RBW7s), scheduled for December 9-10 at Trents in St
James, Barbados, with eighteen teams registered to participate in the event’s second edition. Eight Women’s and
ten Men’s teams from the USA, Canada, Scotland, Trinidad, St Lucia, Guadeloupe and Barbados will do battle for a
purse of US$ 3 000.00 in each of the Men’s and Women’s divisions.
But not only will these teams be performing for the locals and tourists taking in the action on the sidelines, but for
the thousands of viewers around the world who will be tuning in to watch the live stream that will be provided
courtesy of OZONE WIRELESS, the newest cellular telecoms provider in Barbados, in conjunction with Sports.bb, a Barbadian Cinestream TV Network. Visit the tournament Facebook page Rugby Barbados World 7s or the website
at www.rugbybarbadosworld7s.com closer to the tournament date for details on the live stream.
“We are extremely excited to be in a position to offer this live streaming service to those fans of rugby overseas
who we know would rather be here to cheer on their mates, but who perhaps just didn’t book in time” says the
Manager of the Local Organizing Committee, George Nicholson. “During the inaugural event last year we were
bombarded with request for a live stream or live results, so we set out to make that a reality this year.”
